Annual Sports Meet held at Pynden Mawramhah

Mawkyrwat, April 12: The Synjuk ki Seng Rangbah Katholik Mary Help of Christians Parish Mawthong (SKSRKMHOCPM) had on Saturday organised a one day Annual Sports Meet 2021 at the Mawramhah football field in Pynden Mawramhah village with all villages under Mawthong Parish participating in the events. Wallamjop Shangpliang, secretary of the Sports Committee of SKSRKMHOCPM informed that a total of five events including football, archery competition (group & individual), cock fight, bread eating and tug of war were organised. In the archery group completion, Pynden Mawramhah village bagged first prize while in the individual archery competition, Happenstar Kharjahrin of Mawthawpdah village was adjudged the winner. In the Tug of War, Mawthawpdah village came first, whereas, in the Bread Eating competition, Wirjy Shangpliang of Pynden Mawramhah got first prize. In the Cock Fighting competition, Boniface Shangpliang from Mawthawpdah village came out on top. In Football, Rangdkhew village were declared winners. Overall, Mawthawpdah village were adjudged champions of the Annual Sports Meet after leading in the points tally.
