Assamese singer Vitali Das dies of COVID19

GUWAHATI, April 21: Noted Assamese singer Vitali Das has passed away today at Kalapahar Covid-19 Hospital where she had been undergoing treatment.

Vitali Das, who had tested positive for COVID19 infection  on April 14, was been shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Covid-19 Hospital after her condition turned critical few days back. She was in ventilator support for hours before her death after she had developed difficulties in breathing.

Vitali Das might have contracted the virus while performing during a Bihu function at Latasil playground in the heart of Guwahati city.
