Sonika Situng lodged a complaint that on April 18 evening, her husband, viz. Holding Nongjngi, was found murdered by unknown miscreant(s) at Umshynsher, Barato village, West Jaintia Hills.
Item missing
Prolay Dey, site In-charge, T&T Projects Ltd., lodged a complaint that on April 20, he found that one roller wheel of the Power Transformer at Dhankheti, Shillong, was missing.
Contraband seized
On April 19 around 6.35 pm, acting on inputs, police and VDP members apprehended one Eugene Marshangbai alias Jin from Siejlieh, Mawtohthang, West Khasi Hills, and seized 0.60 grams of suspected heroin from his possession.
Theft
Fairson Lyngdoh Nongbet and Aaron Wanshwa Kurbah lodged a complaint that on April 16 between 11 am and 12 noon, unknown miscreant(s) stole three car tapes and three amplifiers from their vehicles (ML-05C-2459 and ML-05L-4892), which were parked at Nongshiliang, Shillong.
Rishanbor Lyngdoh Tongkhar lodged a complaint that on April 16 around 1.50 am, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05U-1704), which was parked at his residential compound at Laitjem, East Khasi Hills.
Sanjay R Marak (32) lodged a complaint that on April 19 around 1.30 am, unknown miscreants stole his Bolero vehicle (ML-08G-2106) from his residential compound at Dinggok Bajengdoba, North Garo Hills.
Debojit Roy lodged a complaint that on April 18 circa 12.30 am, Star Cement security personnel/patrolling team apprehended one Rilang Shadong while he, along with his two accomplices in one Maruti car (ML-05N-5324), were stealing diesel from stationary dozers and excavators at Khub mines area, East Jaintia Hills. However, his accomplices managed to escape.
Nodal Officer, Aadhaar, o/o DC, East Khasi Hills, lodged a complaint that on April 17 around 10.30 am, unknown miscreants broke into room number 322 (Aadhaar Enrolment), DC Office, Shillong, and stole two laptops along with one charger and one laptop bag.

Coy Commander, F-Coy., 30 Bn., BSF, BOP Lyngkhat, lodged a complaint that on April 11 at about 12.15 pm, BSF personnel recovered two heads of cattle at BOP Nayabazar, East Khasi Hills.
