Domestic workers knock on PMO’s door for jabs

Shillong, June 17: All Meghalaya Domestic Workers’ Union and North Eastern Regional Domestic Workers’ Movement, Meghalaya Region have shot off a joint petition to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) seeking vaccination of domestic workers on a priority basis. Copies of the petition were also addressed to Tura Lok Sabha member Agatha Sangma and Rajya Sabha member WR Kharlukhi.
The domestic workers also staged a poster campaign near the Main Secretariat to impress on the state government to vaccinate the domestic workers on priority basis.
