JOWAI, July 13: The Hynñiewtrep Border Disputed Redressal Forum and the Hynñiewtrep Women Welfare Development Organisation have urged West Jaintia Hills deputy commissioner to arrange a border meeting with his counterpart from Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
It may be mentioned that the plea for the meeting has been made in a bid to ensure maintenance of peace on both sides of the border.
Meanwhile, a member from the Forum has informed that they will prepare necessary documents to corroborate that their lands belong to Meghalaya and not Assam.
