HYC seeks MLAs’ support for transparent recruitment

SHILLONG, July 23: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) South West Khasi Hills District unit has sought the support of two local legislators from the district viz., Mawkyrwat MLA Renikton L Tongkhar and Ranikor MLA Pius Marwein, in ensuring transparency in the appointment of persons to vacant posts in various government departments.
The HYC members on Friday met the two MLAs to seek their support in the matter.
The legislators also advocate the need to bring transparency in the appointment process in the district while stating that it is the need of the hour.
The group had earlier also met Deputy Commissioner of South West Khasi Hills C Kharkongor, who is the chairman of the District Selection Committee (DSC), which is responsible for conducting the recruitment to fill up the vacancies in various departments in the district.
