SHILLONG, Aug 2: Suspended BJP member from Garo Hills Dr KC Boro has warned state BJP president Ernest Mawrie that he will move the court of law and file a defamation case against the latter if more action citing disciplinary grounds is taken against him.
Boro’s warning comes weeks after being suspended from primary membership of the party for his alleged breach of discipline. He was also issued a show-cause notice by Mawrie.
Breaking the silence weeks after his suspension, Boro, who has been advocating for AL Hek as state BJP president, said that Mawrie is not acting like a president but like a managing director of a private limited company.
“I have got no reaction from the president, what is in his mind… if they are planning to take further disciplinary action against me. In case he goes ahead in taking any further action against me in the name of ‘anti-party’ activity, I will challenge it in the court of law,” Boro said.
