Financial aid for COVID warriors in South Shillong

SHILLONG, Aug 22: Financial assistance, gift hampers and certificates were, on Saturday, handed over to medical staff, ASHA and Aganwadi workers, mortuary van drivers and dead body management team of South Shillong Constituency for their services in assisting the district administration in the fight against COVID-19.
A sum of Rs 4 lakh was utilised by Cabinet minister and local MLA Sanbor Shullai from his salary to award the workers, a statement issued here said.
