Meghalaya win 6 medals at WAKO Kickboxing C’ship

SHILLONG, Aug 31: Meghalaya claimed six medals including a gold, silver and four bronze medals at the WAKO India Seniors & Masters National Kickboxing Championship 2021 held at the Dayanand Bandodkar Stadium in Mapusa, Goa from August 26-29.
The championship serves as 1st stage selection for the 6th Asian Indoor Martial Arts & Games to be held in March, 2022.
Hame Shaniah Suiam won gold in Senior Men Point fighting – 57 kg along with silver in Senior Men Point fighting – 63 kg while Nisanshwa Lyngdoh (Senior Women K1 – 48 kg), Bantei Sungoh (Senior Men Low Kick – 60 kg), Arthur Cornelli N K (Senior Men K1 – 75 kg) and Pynnehbor Mylliemngap (Senior Men Musical Form Hard Style) all bagged bronze medals.
