Hawkers asked to vacate footpath in Jowai

JOWAI, Sep 14: West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner, LSN Garod Dykes, has asked all ‘illegal’ hawkers to vacate the footpath along Iawmusiang market area with effect from Wednesday.
Hawkers have occupied almost every spot in Jowai including public footpath causing inconveniences to the general public and pedestrians, the DC said in a statement in this regard on Tuesday.
