Illegal cattle transport
Vashistha Kumar, Commander of G-coy, 97 Bn BSF, Ratacherra BOP, in East Jaintia Hills, lodged a complaint that on September 24, around 8.20 am, while BSF personnel were on patrol duty at NH-6, they detected a truck (AS-11-DC-6664) proceeding from Silchar towards Umkiang village, West Garo Hills. When signalled to stop, the truck fled but was later intercepted and its driver Alim Uddin Barbhuiya (32) and handyman Burban Uddin (28) were apprehended. During search, security personnel recovered 24 cattle heads from the truck which were being transported without valid documents.

Scooty missing
Shandrakupar L Marshillong lodged a complaint that on September 21, around 10 am, miscreants stole his scooty (ML-05K-7629) which was parked on the roadside at Lad Sahep Laitkor, Shillong.

Car tape theft
Samuel D Sangma of Dongkamon Nongmensong, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on September 23, miscreants stole a car tape, woofer and two speakers from a vehicle (ML-05L-6230) which was parked near his residence.

Water pump stolen
On September 25, a water pump was stolen by miscreants from a corona care centre in Baghmara, South Garo Hills.
