Prog on adverse drug reaction inaugurated at NEIGRIHMS

SHILLONG, Sep 29: The National Pharmacovigilance Week 2021 was launched at NEIGRIHMS recently by Director, Prof. Nalin Mehta, in the presence of Dean, Medical Superintendent and other officials from NEIGRIHMS.
According to a statement, the programme was organised by the Department of Pharmacology, NEIGRIHMS, which is the only ‘Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre’ in Meghalaya under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India.
Prof. Mehta, in his address, stressed upon the importance of Pharmacovigilance and the reporting of ‘Adverse Drug Reaction’.
It may be mentioned that the programme was thematised on ‘Pharmacovigilance: A step towards Patient Safety’.
