Bureaucratic rejig in state

SHILLONG, Oct 13: The state government has once again effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the Meghalaya.
As per the notification, West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Tableland Lyngwa has been given the charge of Secretary to the C&RD while West Khasi Hills Additional Deputy Commissioner, PD Sangma, has been given the charge of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner.
On the other hand, Principal Secretary to the Water Resources, Mining and Geology department, Dr Shakil P Ahammed, will now function as Principal Secretary of the Power department.
Secretary to Personnel & AR Department and Director (Corporate Affairs) of MeECL and its three subsidiaries, CVD Deingdoh, will now function as Secretary of Law department and Legal Remembrancer, and as Secretary to Parliamentary Affairs.
The services of Ambrose Ch Marak, Secretary to Education department, and Director of School Education and Literacy, are partially placed at the disposal of Power department for appointment as Director (Corporate Affairs) of MeECL and its three subsidiaries
He will also function as Secretary to the Personnel & AR department.
