Rishika wins Ladies golf tournament

SHILLONG, Oct 22: Rishika Muralidhar who shot an 6 over 76 on the final day, emerged as the winner of the 2021 North East India Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship. On the final day, Rishika had an overall score of 16 over for 3 days of the tournament.
Finishing in the Runners up position was Smriti Bhargava from Delhi who was consistent in all three rounds shooting 6 over respectively on all three days and finishing with a total score of 18 over for 3 days of the championship.
In category B Girls, Saanvi Somu from Karnataka showed her grit by shooting 8 over respectively on all three day and winning the Category B Girls Championship with a overall score of 24 over for 3 days of the event.
Indian Golf Union (IGU) is the National Sports Federation for Golf in India and the governing body for the game in the country. One of the main objectives of the IGU is the promotion and development of the game at the grassroots level and to help increase the presence of golf in the India.
