JOWAI, Dec 3: Several groups, including KSU, JSU, FKJP, et al, have demanded the reinstatement of Ethelbert Kharmalki as the deputy commissioner of East Jaintia Hills.
The demand for the same was raised during a meeting on Thursday following which it was resolved that they will soon shoot off a letter to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in this regard.
The groups have also threatened to organise a peaceful protest if the plea falls on deaf ears.
