Shutdown notice
The Public Health Engineering (PHE) department has informed that GSWS Water Works at Mawphlang will be shut down between 8 am to 4 pm on Friday due to emergency work. Hence, supply of water will be disrupted during the aforesaid period.
Holidays
The state government has announced compensatory holidays for all state government offices, revenue and magisterial courts for the dates of December 28, 29 and 31. A statement in this regard informed that the offices and courts will function on March 12, 19 and 26, 2022.
Resignation
The president of Block Congress Committee 19th South Shillong, Jayanta Sen, has tendered his resignation from the party’s primary membership and his post. The resignation has been tendered to the president of the Shillong City Congress Committee.
Cleaning drive
The executive committee of the Lumshyiap Dorbar Shnong will hold its annual cleaning drive from 8 am on December 13. Exhorting the residents of the locality to partake in the cleaning drive, the general secretary of the Dorbar Shnong, KP Phawa, has asked the landowners of Lumshyiap to report at the Dorbar Shnong office on or before the cleaning drive with their concerned land documents.
