Rilbong Day/Night tourney from Dec 17

SHILLONG, Dec 15: The 9th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitational Day and Night Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament will be held in Rilbong from December 17 onwards.
The tournament is being organized by the Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club. The competition, which carries a cash prize of Rs 36,000 along with trophies and a gold-plated running trophy, will feature 40 teams and a total of 95 matches.
In a first of its kind in the city, the tournament will introduce several new features such as illuminating wicket bails or ‘Zing Bails’, third-umpire review and cameras that will be installed for the third umpire. There will also be powerplay overs during the course of the competition.
The inaugural ceremony will be held at 5.30 pm on December 17 and will be followed by two matches – MCC Jr vs Rilbong Superkings at 6:30 pm and Blaze SC vs Innings at 7:30 pm.
