1 killed in assault
It was reported that Floren Lyngdoh (37) of Korstep village, who was reportedly assaulted by one Andreas Rajesh Makri (42) of the same village, succumbed to his injuries on December 12.

Bike stolen
Badal Das of Laitkor, East Khasi Hills, lodged a complaint that on the night of December 14, miscreants stole his motorcycle (AS-01-EP-5184) from his residential compound.

Coal truck found
On December 13, a coal-laden truck (ML-10B-3510) evaded Narang Integrated Weighbridge on NH-6 (RB) and fled away. Later, the truck was found abandoned at Umdap village, Ri Bhoi. The police are taking necessary action against the truck operator(s) for violation of NGT order.

Break-in
Gaurav Saha of Wahheh Lower Mawpat Circle-3, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on December 13 evening, miscreants broke into his residence and stole electronic items valued around Rs 26,000.

Theft
P Sana of Cleve Colony Laitumkhrah, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on December 15, around 11 am, miscreants stole a laptop computer valued around Rs 54,000 from her residence.
