SHILLONG, Dec 29: A senior cadre of the proscribed Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) will surrender before Meghalaya BSF IG Inderjit Singh Rana, at the Border Outpost of 97 Bn BSF at Umkiang in East Jaintia Hills District on Thursday.
Jonel Tongper, who hails from Umkiang area will surrender alone, the BSF said.
The surrender programme will be attended by the East Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police, among others.
