No lockdown post detection of Omicron cases in Meghalaya: Prestone

Shillong, Jan 5: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has ruled out lockdown in the State following the detection of five Omicron cases.

He said that the patients have only mild symptoms and, there is no complication in their health conditions.

Citing economic hardships, he said that many states in the country are also not contemplating imposing strict containment measures looking into the plight of the poor and the economically weaker section.
