ICCA, Roshni, Rangkynsai win

SHILLONG, Jan 7: ICCA edged Keating Road by 8 runs in the first match of the 9th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitational Tennis Ball Day & Night Cricket Tournament here on Friday.
Choosing to bat first, ICCA scored 43 runs in the stipulated 6 overs. In response, Keating Road scored 35 runs in their allotted 6 overs. Rohit Kumar Rai of ICCA was adjudged the Player of Match.
In the second match, Roshni took on Heritage. Put in to bat first, Heritage could score only 17 runs in 5.2 overs. Roshni knocked off the target in 2.2 overs, scoring 21 runs, winning the contest by 5 wickers. Pankaj Chanda of Roshni was named the Player of the Match.
In the final match of the day, Amra Kaara faced Rankynsai SC. Amra Kaara won the toss opted to bat first. They put on 32 runs in 6 overs. In a one sided contested, Rangkynsai scored 39 runs in 2.5 overs, winning the contest by 3 wickets. Saurav Sharma of Rangkynsai was named the Player of the Match.
