State logs 64 new cases

SHILLONG, Jan 7: The state on Thursday recorded 64 new COVID-19 cases while no death was reported in the past 24 hours.
The active tally now stands at 262 while 83,338 people have recovered from the viral infection including 14 on the day. The death toll remains at 1,485.
Out of the new active cases, 55 cases were detected in East Khasi Hills district, three each in Ri Bhoi and West Garo Hills district and one each in West Jaintia Hills, West Khasi Hills and North Garo Hills.
