2nd Div cricket: Jersey Kings, Raj Bhavan win convincingly

SHILLONG, Jan 13: Jersey Kings and Raj Bhavan displayed clinical performances to win their respective Shillong Cricket Association (SCA) Second Division matches, here on Thursday.
Earlier, Jersey Kings won the toss against Golflink XI Star and batted first, scoring 90/2 in only 8 overs. Player-of-the-Match Raj Biswa hit 34 runs off 19 balls while Gopal Sunar made 30. Ankit Kumar Ojha took 1/17.
In reply, Golflink XI Star could only manage 51/4 in their 8 overs, losing by 39 runs. Abid top-scored with 17 runs. Sanjeev took 1/14.
Later, Raj Bhavan won the toss against Inningstar and batted first, amassing 128/7 in 20 overs. Sunil Yadav was the top-scorer with 26 while Player-of-the-Match Sanjeev Chettri added 25 runs. Pinku Ghosh took 4/21 from his 4 overs for Inningstar while L K Kohmanhring claimed 3/19.
However, Inningstar were bundled out for only 75 in 14.1 overs to hand Raj Bhavan a 53-run win. L K Kohmanhring was the top-scorer with 16 runs. Tarak Sinha claimed figures of 3/6 form 2.1 overs while Sanjeev Chettri took 3/15 from his 4 overs.
