SHILLONG, Jan 13: Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong on Thursday said that the NPP-led MDA Government is alive to the demand of implementing ILP in the state.
“We keep reminding and pressurising Union Home Minister, Amit Shah to give ILP to Meghalaya whenever we get an opportunity to meet him,” Tynsong said when asked about Congress MLA, PT Sawkmie urging the BJP-led central government to implement ILP in Meghalaya as a gift to the people of the state on January 21 when the state will celebrate its 50th year of statehood.
It may be mentioned that the Centre has remain mum to the demand of ILP despite an entire House of MLAs passed a resolution in December, 2019 urging the Centre to implement ILP in the state.
