211 fresh cases, active tally rises to 1,128

SHILLONG, Jan 16: Meghalaya’s active COVID-19 caseload on Sunday breached the 1,000-mark, after 211 fresh cases were reported. The state’s active COVID-19 tally now stands at 1,128.
Out of 211 fresh cases, East Khasi Hills accounted for 163 cases, followed by West Garo Hills with 18 cases and East Jaintia Hills with 14 cases.
A total of 74 patients recovered from the infection, pushing the tally of total recovered cases to 83,740.
No COVID-related fatality was reported in the past 24 hours.
