Police detect illegal coal truck

SHILLONG, Jan 18: A truck carrying illegal coal was detected here on Sunday after the vehicle broke down, the police said.
At 11.50 pm on Sunday, police received information that a coal-laden truck (AS-19AC-4168) driven by Pynhun Pyrtuh (21), had broken down at Sunny Hills, Lumdiengjri, after encountering a mechanical issue.
During enquiry, the trucker was unable to produce valid documents for transporting the coal.
