Rice released
SHILLONG, Jan 27: The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner (Supply) has informed that rice under PMGKAY for NFSA households (AAY and PHH) for January has been released through respective fair price shops at the scale of 5 kg per head, free of cost. The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Pynursla Civil Sub-Division has also informed that rice under NFSA and Non-NFSA for the month of January has been released through their respective Fair Price Shop at the scale of 35 kg per card at Rs 3 per kg for AAY card holders, 5 kg per head at Rs 3 per kg for PHH card holders and 7.215 kg per household at Rs 12.70 to Rs 13 per kg for non-NFSA. All fair price shops of the above district and sub-division have been directed to distribute the quota as soon as the stock arrives and to display the list of beneficiaries and the timing of operation in their shops. Any non-supply, supply of less prescribed scale or inferior quality, may be reported to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong and office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Pynursla Civil Sub-Division. The beneficiaries under Pynursla Civil Sub-Division are further asked to submit their Aadhaar number to their concerned fair price shop dealers for the smooth functioning of the e-POS devices.

SHILLONG, Jan 27: The Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Shillong Civil Hospital, has informed that a male patient, identified as Krishna Singh (56), C/o PAB Civil Hospital, Shillong, was admitted to the Male Medical Ward – II, Bed No 14, of Shillong Civil Hospital at 6:18 pm on January 24. However, the patient passed away at 2 pm on January 25. All concerned relatives of the deceased have been, meanwhile, asked to collect the body from the hospital morgue immediately, failing which the same will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.

Final photo electoral rolls
SHILLONG, Jan 27: The Deputy Commissioner (Election), South West Garo Hills, has informed that the Electoral Registration Officers of Ampati (ST), Mahendraganj (ST) and Salmanpara (ST) have prepared the Final Photo Electoral Rolls with reference to January 1, 2022 as the qualifying date. “The Electoral Rolls are available for inspection at the office of the District Election Officer, SWGH, office of the BDOs, SWGH and all the Booth Level Officers in their respective polling stations,” a statement in this regard said.
