KHADC CEM meets Conrad on 6th Schedule amendment issue

Shillong, Feb 7: Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) CEM Titos Chyne along with other MLAs today met Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to discuss about the proposed amendment to the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.

Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Titos Chyne said that the Chief Minister had clarified that the word village council would be included in the Sixth Schedule along with the word Dorbar Shnong. A delegation is also likely to meet Union Home Minister soon before the amendment is approved in the Parliament
