Foundation laid for Laitumkhrah Municipal Market

Shillong, Feb 9: The foundation stone for the redevelopment of Laitumkhrah Municipal Market was laid by Meghalaya Urban Affairs Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar today.

Funded by Shillong Smart City Limited  and  implemented  by the Shillong Municipal Board at a cost of over Rs. 28 crore, this project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the date of commencement of work which was Sept 22, 2021.

Local MLA Ampareen Lyngdoh said the construction of the Laitumkhrah Market marked the beginning of new hope for the people of the constituency.
