UDP youth wing election on Feb 28

SHILLONG, Feb 10: The State Youth Wing of United Democratic Party (UDP) has decided to hold the election of its new office-bearers on February 28.
The decision was taken during a meeting at Shillong Press Club on Thursday.
UDP State Youth Wing general secretary, Kynsai Bareh, informed media persons that the election is being held in a bid to bolster the party ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections.
He also asked at least 20 members from each district to attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, UDP State Youth Wing leader, Embhahlang Syiemlieh, said the decision of the party to support the MDA turned out to be effectual with the state government listening to their demand for upping the upper age limit for jobs.
He added that the youth wing of the UDP will also stress on the need to have employment and tourism policies in state.
