M’laya ABVP holds 5th state conference

SHILLONG, March 18: More than 300 participants from across the state partook in the 5th State Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Meghalaya, which was organised at Aurobindo Auditorium here, recently.
Prominent dignitaries were part of the Conference.
Speaking on the occasion, the national general secretary of ABVP, Nidhi Tripathi, encouraged the students and youths to take active part in the development of the nation.
Meanwhile, state secretary of ABVP Meghalaya, Nibiang Sumer, presented the report on various activities being performed by the state unit over the last one year.
In a statement, the ABVP Meghalaya said its members stepped out of their comfort zone to serve the people when COVID-19 was wreaking havoc on the people.

For encouraging the motivating the youth of our State for competitive examination, ABVP Meghalaya conducted “General Knowledge Test” for the student of Class IX to Class XII.
To celebrate the 75th Independence Day in a befitting way, the ABVP Meghalaya conducted “Tiranga Yatra” rally in various districts of the state.
On the day, the 5th State Conference of ABVP Meghalaya elected Dr Sashankutlang Khongthohrem as the state president and re-elected Nibiang Sumer as state secretary with the declaration of New State Working Committee members.
