MAWKYRWAT, March 24: An awareness rally was organised here on Thursday to highlight the importance of water and the need to conserve it. The rally was organised by the office of the Executive Engineer, PHE-cum-Member Secretary, DWSM (JJM), South West Khasi Hills, on the theme of ‘Water Conservation and Water Sustainability’.
The rally started from the campus of Mawkyrwat Block Development Officer’s office in Mawlangwir and culminated at the office of the PHE, Mawkyrwat.
Hundreds of students from different schools in Mawkyrwat area, the staff of PHE office holding placards with slogans participated in the rally.
