IYC to hold competitions to choose national spokespersons

SHILLONG, April 25: The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) will organise competitions in Meghalaya among other states to choose party’s national spokespersons.
This was announced by IYC national spokesperson Gaurav Jain during the launch of ‘Young India ke Bol’, at Congress Bhawan in the city on Monday.
It may be mentioned that ‘Young India ke Bol’ is a programme initiated in a bid to provide a platform to those who feel that their voices have remained unheard.
The programme was launched by Jain in the presence of state MPYC members.
Speaking to media persons after the launch of the programme, Jain informed that the party will organise competitions at the district and state levels, and selected individuals would be chosen as national spokespersons of the party.
The last date for enrolment to the competition is on May 31 while the grand finale of the same will be held in the IYC headquarters in the national capital on September 30, September 31 and October 2.
The IYC national spokesperson said that anyone who believes in the ideology of the Congress can take part in the competitions, which will be live-streamed on social media.
Jain said the participants can choose any topic which they feel is important for the country, as well as speak on pressing issues such as drugs menace, unemployment, rising fuel prices and women safety.
