Decision to enhance tri-service synergy

Shillong, May 19: The Commanders-in-Chief of Air force, Navy and Army’s Eastern Command have decided to further enhance interoperability and synergy between the three services, a defence spokesperson said on Thursday.
This decision was taken during the three-day Tri-Services Eastern Commanders-in-Chief Conference, held at the headquarters of the Eastern Air Command here, which concluded on Thursday.
Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command, Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral B Dasgupta, and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command (Army), Lieutenant General RP Kalita attended the conference.
The meeting was hosted by Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal DK Patnaik.
During the Conference, the Commanders-in-Chief of the eastern theatre also reviewed the progress made on various operational and logistic issues since the last meeting. (UNI)
