Protest
The Petroleum Dealers’ Association, Meghalaya, will participate in ‘NO PURCHASE OF PETROL AND DIESEL’ protest on Tuesday. In a statement, the Association has also asked the public at large to not panic in view of the one-day protest. “Since it is a protest by the petrol pump owners by not purchasing products from Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) which include IOC, HPC, BPCL, RELIANCE, ESSAR, all petrol pumps will remain open for business as usual on the said date and will function normally, so there will be no inconvenience caused to the public,” the Association said in its statement said.

Programme
The Department of Environmental Science and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) club of Shillong College conducted an awareness programme on ‘Household Solid Waste Management’ for the residents of Dulong village, Jowai, on Saturday. A statement in this regard informed that as part of the awareness programme, lecture was delivered on various strategies to manage household waste management, and demonstrations were made on various biodegradable waste management and waste reduction techniques.
