Armwrestler from state to represent India

SHILLONG, June 12: Female armwrestler from Ri-Bhoi District, Margreth Pathaw has been chosen to represent the Indian contingent for the upcoming 43rd World Arm Wrestling Championships scheduled to be held in Turkey, later this year.
Pathaw had earlier brought laurels to the state by bagging four medals in the recently concluded National Arm Wrestling Championships held in Hyderabad.
She won medals in the 60 kg Left and Right categories besides the Master Class Left and Right categories.
A felicitation programme was held for her by the Dorbar Shnong of Umsning along with the Seng Longkmie Umsning Pyllun and the Seng Longkmie Umsning Proper B.
