SPC lose to DEF 1-4 in football friendly

SHILLONG, June 22: The District Executive Force (DEF) of the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills defeated Shillong Press Club by 4-1 in a friendly football match held at the SAI Football Ground in NEHU as part of the run-up to the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking here on Wednesday.
The goal scorers for the winning side were Robert Nongspung (1 goal), Chesterfield Nongdhar (2), Kamal Thapa (1) while the lone goal for the Shillong Press Club was scored by Alemon Suchiang.
Director General of Police LR Bishnoi graced the occasion as the chief guest in the presence of IG (Law and Order) Mukesh Singh, DIG Eastern Range Davis R Marak, SP East Khasi Hills Sylvester Nongtnger, SP (Shillong City) Vivek Syiem and Shillong Press Club president David Laitphlang.
