Eid-ul-Azha
West Shillong MLA Mohendro Rapsang has conveyed his wishes to the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Muslim Graveyard and EId Gah Committee, Mawprem, on the other hand, has informed that the Eid-ul-Azha congregational prayer will be held at 9 am on July 10 (subject to the sighting of the moon) at the Mawprem Eid Gah field and will be led by Janab Mawlana Aftab Ahmed Azad.
Unclaimed body
One Durga Sunar (45) of Rilbong, Shillong, was admitted in the female surgical ward, bed number 3 of Shillong Civil Hospital on June 18, following which she passed away on June 28. A statement in this regard informed that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue. “All concerned relatives, etc are hereby requested to collect the body within a period of three days, failing which the same will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board,” the statement said.
