AOC-in C visits IAF stations in WB, reviews preparedness

SHILLONG, July 12: Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal DK Patnaik, on Tuesday visited air force stations in Bagdogra, Butabari and Kurseong, and reviewed the preparedness there.
According to a statement, Patnaik was received by Air Officer Commanding of Air Force Station Bagdogra, Air Commodore Amiya Tripathy, and was presented with a Guard of Honour.
“He visited various lodger units and was briefed on the operational, maintenance and administrative preparedness of the station. The Air Marshal also inspected vital installations and was briefed about the progress of various operational infrastructure in the station,” the statement said.
During an interaction with IAF personnel, the AOC-in-C also emphasised on the need to be vigilant owing to the strategic location of the station.
He also visited the nearby IAF station Butabari and Kurseong, and was briefed about the upcoming major projects there.
