NONGPOH, Aug 12: The National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) on Friday dismissed allegations that Transport Minister and Mawhati MLA Dasakhiatbha Lamare has not done anything for the development of his constituency, especially with regard to road connectivity.
Addressing media persons in Umsning, NPYF Mawhati Block president Hilary Shadap and general secretary Nicholas Malai asserted that Lamare has done a lot for the development of his constituency.
Informing that important road projects will soon be initiated for Mawhati, they said, “We have met Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong and we can confirm that the government will soon issue work orders for construction of roads which include 10-km Liarbang-Sabuda road (Rs 18.50 crore), 10-km Sabuda-Umkhen road (Rs. 20 crore) and 44-km Umsning-Sonidan road, the first phase being sanctioned for Rs. 114 crore.”
Meanwhile, the NPYF members have also exhorted people to not create issues for own political benefit.
