Competition
Zenith Jubelieth Club, Laban, will organise the Annual All Shillong Dr. M.M. Das Memorial Debate Competition at 2:30 pm on Saturday on its premises. According to a statement the motion of the debate is ‘Overdependence on Artificial Intelligence is Fraught with Disastrous Consequences’. In this regard, all higher secondary schools and colleges in and around Shillong have been asked to send their teams comprising two students, one speaking ‘for’ and the other ‘against’ the motion.

Missing
One Listina Sumer of Nongmensong, Shillong, lodged a complaint that her son, identified as Ribor Sumer (23) was found missing from his residence on July 28. According to a police statement, Ribor is 5’1″ tall, has a fair complexion, thin built, and oval-shaped face. He was last seen wearing blue sweatshirt with red stripes, a pair of black trousers and black slippers. Meanwhile, all concerned aware about Ribor’s whereabouts have been asked to contact 03642222214, 03642230224 or 8837282114.

Seminar
Synod College will organise an international seminar on ‘Sustainability Towards a Renewing Existence’ at am from August 25-26. The seminar will be supported by State Council of Science, Technology and Environment.

Programme
Mawkhar Christian Higher Secondary School will commemorate 10 years of establishment of the higher secondary section and the foundation day will be held on September 2. A programme will be organised in this regard during which felicitation ceremony for teachers as well as meritorious students will be held.

Meeting
The Meghalaya Subordinate Agriculture/Horticulture Technical Employees Service Association will hold its general meeting at 10 am on August 27 at the Government Fruit Garden, Shillong.
