28 volunteers donate blood in Nongstoin

NONGSTOIN, Sep 11: As many as 28 volunteers from all sections of the society came forward for the blood donation camp organised by the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) New Nongstoin Primary Unit in collaboration with the Regional Blood Bank Pasteur Institute, Shillong, at New Nongstoin LP School on Saturday.
Before the blood donation camp, a small function was held at the school campus which was attended by Nongstoin MLA Macmillan Byrsat.
In his speech, Byrsat lauded the effort of the NPYF for organising the programme.
Byrsat stressed that blood donation drives should be held in colleges where there are many youth. The local MLA has urged the concerned department to create awareness among the youth on the significance of donating blood.
