Pine Mount School alumni move CM

SHILLONG, Sep 12: Over 1,000 alumni of Pine Mount School have petitioned Chief Minister Conrad Sangma for his immediate intervention into the allegations of mismanagement in the school.
Placing forth a slew of demands before the CM, the alumni expressed solidarity with the schoolteachers.
“We urge the government not to penalise them for being whistleblowers but to take the complaints seriously and rectify without further delay,” they said.
Some of the demands placed for by the alumni include immediate suspension of the incumbent school principal, time-bound inquiry including into the illegalities, proper water infrastructure in the school, independent educational audit of the school, et al.
