SHILLONG, Oct 19: After State Congress chief Vincent H Pala, senior BJP leader AL Hek has said he cannot say no to the idea of becoming the chief minister.
“I am a soldier of the party and if the party decides, we cannot say no to it (becoming CM),” Hek said, while adding that the functionaries must abide by party’s decision.
Earlier, Congress president and Shillong MP Pala had remarked that he would be happy to become the Chief Minister of the state, if the party wished so.
Meanwhile, the BJP leader also said that the party has discussed in its SEC meeting that tickets to aspirants should be given at least two-three months before the elections so that the party and the candidates can prepare well.
