Tynsong launches vehicle in city locality for waste collection

SHILLONG, Oct 24: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Monday launched the waste collection vehicle of the Lawjynriew Dorbar Shnong.
Provided under the Chief Minister Special Rural Development Fund (CMSRDF) at the cost of Rs 12.81 lakh, the vehicle was launched in the presence of Nongthymmai MDC Latiplang Kharkongor, NPP candidate from Nongthymmai Jasmine Lyngdoh, Rangbah Shnong of Lawjynriew SB Kharshandi, among others.
On the occasion, Rangbah Shnong of Lawjynriew also submitted a memorandum to Tynsong for allocation of funds to complete the construction of the community hall of the Dorbar Shnong besides development of
other civic amenities and infrastructures in the locality.
Speaking on the occasion, the deputy chief minister expressed hope that the launch of the vehicle will help in the collection of waste from the various households in the locality.
He also informed that the state government will sanction an amount of Rs 15 lakh for the construction of the community hall.
