State Congress leaders meet Kharge in Delhi

SHILLONG, Oct 29: Senior Congress leaders from the state including Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Vincent H Pala and working president Deborah Marak, on Saturday, met the newly elected All India Congress Committee (AICC) president, Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi and discussed the upcoming Assembly polls in Meghalaya in detail.
“He told us how to work and prepare a strategy for the elections,” Marak said, adding that they had a fruitful discussion on strengthening the organisation in Meghalaya.
It may be mentioned that Kharge was recently elected as the AICC president after he convincingly defeated Shashi Tharoor in the Congress presidential elections.
