Awareness programme on PMEGP in EWKH

SHILLONG, Nov 19: The state office of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) recently organised an awareness programme on Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) at Khadsawphra College and Higher Secondary School, Mairang, Eastern West Khasi Hills.
According to a statement here, the one-day awareness programme, which was thematised on ‘Make Youth Job Giver not Job SEEKER’, was organised with an aim to generate livelihood by establishing micro units and generating self-employment among the village residents.
The programme, which was participated by around 150 people, including district officials, also focused on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Aatmanirbar Bharat.
