Shillong, Nov 24:  An uneasy calm prevails in Shillong city  ahead of the sit-in solidarity scheduled to be held here later in the afternoon even though life remains normal as of now.

Everything looks normal at the Civil Hospital Junction where the programme is scheduled to be held.  Business is going on as usual in the city’s man business hub in Police Bazar while a handful of security personnel are deployed in the area.
