NONGPOH, Nov 27: Two vehicles from Meghalaya – a tourist taxi and a Toyota Fortuner – were damaged when unknown miscreants pelted stones at the National Highway 6 near the Jorabat police outpost on Saturday evening while they were returning to Nongpoh.
Badhok Nongmalieh, the owner of the Toyota Fortuner (ML 10B 1471), said the incident occurred at around 9 pm. He claimed that the miscreants were from the Assam side.
Nongmalieh urged the government to take necessary measures to bring back normalcy and to ensure that interstate movement of people is not affected.
