NONGPOH, Dec 10: Sportspersons from Ri-Bhoi, who excelled in the recently concluded North East Olympic Games, were on Saturday felicitated during a programme organised by the Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong (SKRS), Ri-Bhoi, at Nongpoh.
The felicitation programme was attended by Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Gilbert AL Marshillong as well as leaders of Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) and SKRS.
The athletes who were felicitated include Donald Rymbai, Skhemlang Suba, Albinus Rongpeit, Primus Inghi, Rinalis Ingti, Ritina Hanse, Melibad Kro, Joytiful Narlong, Anrisha Klein, Anastasius Ryndongsngi and Ibakhamti Namsaw.
During the day, World Armwrestling Champion Margaret Pathaw was also felicitated by the SKRS for bringing laurels by winning gold medal at the recently concluded 43rd World Arm Wrestling Championship in Antalya, Turkey.
